Stella Elaine Williams

Stella Elaine Helmey Williams, 83, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007.
She was a lifelong resident of Chatham County and was last associated with Windsor Forest Baptist Church.
She worked at Union Camp for 36 years and retired in 1982. She was an avid seamstress and provided each of her children a hand crocheted bedspread at their weddings. She was well known for her ability with needle, thread and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Williams. She is survived by seven children and their spouses, John Richardson Sandy, Hubert Gibson Nancy, Robert Gibson Lillian, Mary Williams Barry, Roy Davis Isabella, Cynthia Macht Gil and Debbie Hurley Jackie, one sister, Eva Tomilee Grablow, 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Funeral Service: 12:00 P.M. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
